The Valentine School of Dance,Colchester, Essex is now in it's 20th year of being established in Colchester and Rowhedge. Classes in Modern/Jazz, Tap, Ballet, are given by Valentine Cavanagh-White, a professional dancer,choreographer, and qualified dance teacher.Her career as a dancer has taken her all over Europe and the Far East, and inshows in various parts of in the United Kingdom including London's West End. She has also choreographed for both professional and amateur theatre and caberet productions.
The classes at the Valentine School of Dance include work from the I.S.T.D grades and U.K.A medal tests, as well as teaching from her extensive knowledge of dance styles. In addition to optional QCA acreditted I.S.T.D grade examinations, (the higher grades also awarded UCAS points) all students may take part in U.K.A. medal tests , including pre-schoolers who have their very own exciting UNI-TED CLUB awards system,"Ballet Ted" and "Teddy Tap" classes, membership cards and stickers. Adult classes in Ballet,Street Dance and Tap are available for fun and fitness.
We also take part in summer fetes, Dance Festivals put on school shows, and have performed in London’s West End and Disneyland, Paris. All pupils are encouraged to take part in our activities. The school operates under the guidance of the UKA and ISTD child protection policies, and staff have CRB clearance.
